From time to time I get a chance to do some channel surfing and discover a new show. Sometimes it pans out and sometimes it doesn’t. This time it actually panned out. I came across an awesome documentary series called Vice.

I tend to like documentaries but they are few that I actually watch because the subject matter either doesn’t interest me or it just happens to be on outdated information. That is not the case with this show. First they hit the topics that are currently in the news and are concerns of the day. This is not a fly by night documentary series either. These reports are carefully researched, thought-out and executed. I personally feel if you want to stay informed on the issues checking out this show is a must.

I feel bad that I have just discovered this show. With all the lack of actual reporting that goes on (outside for the comical circuit. You know you watch the Daily Show to see what’s really going on!), this show for me is a bite of fresh air. HBO really hit a good note with this show. As far as I can tell this show doesn’t go for either side, just fact bringing reporting. I have to catch up on some episodes but I think I will be writing about this show from time to time.
