The End of a Historical Run

Today as we wake to begin your ever so busy life.  Take a moment to reflect on the significant of this day. Today mark the end of a historical run in history. Today is the last official day of the presidency of President Barack Obama. As a child we are told that we can do anything we want. President Barack Obama have proven to all of us that this is truly possible. Never did I ever think that I would ever live to see an actual black man become President of the United States. For this I feel very fortunate. Not only did become President but he served the maximum two terms. Which mean that not only did we elect him initially but we re-elected him. Giving us eight years of hope and possibilities.

He served with a dignity and finesse that no one would have imagined. Did I agree with all his decisions – No! Yet we know the old saying – You can’t please all the people all the time. No sweat! We can’t get everything that we want. Yet He held the office with a dignity that no really expected and most of us knew was possible.

For this I say Thank you to President Barack Obama and his family! You have assisted to spark a feeling of hope and pride to those of us that call us Americans. (Even if most of us don’t realize it yet). You fought many battles through out your eight years of serves. Some you lost and some you won. This is to be expected for any President. You have given hope to those that thought hope was gone. The end of an era, may your legacy live on in a positive way.

Again I say Thank You for your service to our country.
