Here you go folks! The YES events for entrepreneurs have returned sponsored by BeCrowned. It returned with such vigor. On March 31, 2018, I had the pleasure of attending yet another successful YES event. This time the event was a little bite different. Not only were there vendors sharing their unique and genius products. They also had motivational speakers, sharing their key to success to all that attended. I recommend these events for all that are thinking of venturing toward any business venture of their own. Now it’s time for the main event.
Like always there are always a new and fresh set of entrepreneurs and their products. Also if you are following this series you might see some repeat offenders. The first set of entrepreneurs that I would like to touch upon is the owners of “Rum Island Punch, LLC”. The owners of this company is a husband and wife team. Their idea for the liquors that they share comes from their love of sharing their hospitality and it shows with them as well as their product. They officially started their business in September of 2017. From what I tasted this will be a drink that will be in demand. Currently you can find their creations in selected bars and restruauents. I have a feeling it won’t be long before you find it at a liquor store near you. You can follow this duo on Facebook as – Rum Island Punch and on Instagram under Rum Island Punch or you can email them at rumislandpunch@yahoo.com.
The next entrepreneur Is Kabrea Thomas, CEO and president of Signature Scents by hand. To be honest this is a genius idea. Ms. Thomas actually makes her own fragrances by hand. She even takes it one step further. She can custom make a fragrance just for you and your biological make-up. Just when you think this talent has reached its peak of amazement she takes it one step further. Her fragrances are 100% vegan. All I can say is ‘Wow! You go girl!’ you can check out her products on her website at www.signaturescentsbyhand.com. You can also follow her on Facebook and Instagram – @signaturescentsbyhand. You can also email her at signaturescentsbyhand@gmail.com
Another vendor present was “BKVNYC” – Brooklyn Vintage. They have a unique talent of helping businesses label their product with custom made hats. They collaborate with you readily made design or they can assist you with perfecting your design. Aside from this they also carry those throwback designs that we have come to love. You can check out their designs on their website at www.bkvnyc.com. You can also follow them on Instagram – @bkvnyc. On Facebook you can find at – Brooklyn Vintage NYC. You can also email them at KeemWest718@gmail.com.
We also had the owner of DB Designs. Dejhanie Brown is a self-taught graphic designer. They specialized in the electronic representation of your business. Like they say it’s all about the branding. That is what Ms. Brown is capable of doing. You can check out her website at www.dbdesignsbydejhanie.com. You can follow them on Instagram – @dbsdesigns, on Facebook as ‘DB Designs’ or on Twitter as ‘@_db_designs’. If you wish to email them you can reach them at info@dbdesignisbydejhanie.com. It’s always worth a look.
We can’t forget the unique artist from R.P. Gallery. They have a wonderful array of hand painted canvas as hats. Their table provided me with the feeling of a comic book convention. I can see these artiest going far with collaboration with some of the up and coming comic book writers and artist. Unfortunately I currently only have an email address as a point of contact for them. You can reach them at Aisha@rpgallery.com.
During this event we have two repeat vendors. First is Almond Essence by Dene, LLC. As usual Dominque D Dowd represented correctly for four years. Her products never disappoint. They moistening of your skin with her naturally made product is always worth a try. You can follow Ms. Dowd on Instagram as – almond_essence, on Facebook you can find her as Almond Essence, LLC. You can email her at info@almondessencebydene.com.
Our second repeat Vendor is Aaron Alexander owner of Brooklyn Blue. Aaron works in collaboration with Coquito De NY. This collaboration of art and liquor gives us the wonder flavor filled refreshing drink called Brooklyn Blue. This wonderful goodness is made with Rum, Dairy, Coconut and Fresh Pineapple. Take it from me its wonderful goodness for the palette. Once you have a test taste you will want the actual drink. 😉 You can catch them at the C.A.N.V.A.S Metal Luxe Exhibition on 9/3/2016 at the I.M.A.G.E Gallery NYC. You can also check out their latest event at their website – www.BklynBlue.com.
Keep an eye out for the next event coming near you.
